Randoms Part 2...
Continuation of Part 2
This picture shows the the item in structural definition called 'Shiploose item'. The pronounciation is a little bit technical but as you can observe those items consist of structural loose item, stack in a bundle, resting on the wooden pallets. This items are called Handrail (the orange like metal pipe solidified with orange paints). Further on the back are the serrated gratings also stacked on the pallet. Partial portion of panel (colour in yellow paint).
Very retrorique. This is what I called a giant module. A combination of Excels and constructive management produce a significant outcome. By the way that is our safety fellows observing the journey of a Jacket being transported to the jetty. Excels are the ones ( see multi tyres) that skids the module. It is called bugey.

Ariyos. Time to go back and listen to some Indie songs....

Random post and randoms....
Today is Saturday. 18th June 2011, What am I doing exactly?, well just writing something to fulfill my time in the office. Yeah. Overtime. Lots of work, (well not that plenty though).
So to squeeze things up let's check on something random. Let's us see now.....oh okay why don't I post some of my pictures (well it's work related) to start with.
All the Technical staff posing right behind the Offshore Module. This photograph was taken last year during the peak of the project.
This is the part of the project that I'm responsible to monitor and inspect till the end of the project. E & E room. Structurally wise the whole item and its structural component weighs almost 30MT. A little bit tinier compare to the one on the background. Talking about major versus minor hehehehe.
Next is the Transformer Shelter. Looks odd and more resembling a steel caged toilet with no or limited ventilation system. Yup, looked at the welding condition below and the edge of the floor. Poorly done and not neat.
Other side view of E & E room. Structural item nearly done, it's time to install and precomission all the E & E item,s internally & externally. Those bundle wrapped with plastic covers are HVAC equipment. Scafffoldings temporarily erected to install those items and finally the lifting lugs for lifting purposes. (not yet installed).
Part 2 to commence soon......got to get back to work.....survallience sights under constant monitoring.......

Load Out For PEMANIS Jacket - A test for a New Entry level photographer.
On the 13th of March 2011, that was the day for our newly fabricated Offshore Jacket with contract name PEMANIS, bound to the sea of the northern region of Sabah. It was scheduled to be loaded out from its fabrication location to the designated barge. The barge berthed alongside the worn out jetty, idling, waiting for the huge offshore structure to be rested on its steel plated saddles. The complex yet practically innovative and time saving lifting and shifting sequences take an approximate 4 to 5 hours to be completed. It's started at around 3.00 am in the early morning, considering the high tide on that particular interval. The whole operation involves a lot of men power and of course, expertise from wide range of professional individuals in order to outstandingly achieve this load out. See pictures for further graphical explanation.

Hai World.......It's the year of Rabbit once again...
Hey there. Yup, hello 2011. Such a lame and lacked expressionless introduction to the new year. indeed.
Lots had happened in 2011 for the past month.Oh yeah, Happy Chinese New Year to all who celebrating......(thinking of what to deliver next.......).........oh yeah hahahahahahahahahaha.........today is Saturday and bring it on Sunday!!!!! >_< '..
So I'm still here dreaming, try to fulfill every gap in this so called 'life' that we're living in. I'm the protagonist in this case. Anyway let's move on. Today is the 3rd day of CNY and seem there are still fireworks bursting the night sky. Such a bright and everlasting explosion indeed. Tonight the sky are kinda gloomy and no star nor the moon ever shine.
The event that I took on the midnight of the 1st CNY (see photos below). Taken lots of photograph using my NIKON DSLR D3100 Camera. Decent but beautiful and fine photos captured during the firework display. The photo session took place at Taman Sahabat accompanied by Clarence my good friend, also purchased the same camera as mine!. As expected, it is not just us, the only DSLR enthusiast ever appeared. There, flocks of other photographers also attend. Beginners like me, eager to take the best photos and snap the best moment are the only purpose that crosses the mind. Checking for appropriate gears, the only gear that I have with me are my D3100, my tripod (came in bundle upon purchase of camera) and a snow cap. Snow cap? well let's just say for the sake of downpour or typhoon or light rain...it always come in handy!
People start to fill in the "Friendship Garden" for the sake of watching the extravaganza, the display of firework that come in many shapes and colours!. Photographers like us decide to look for a better position, angle and trajectory. It is crucial for them because they couldn't waste much time and energy due to countdown of New Year. Well as for me, any spot will do as long it's not muddy or stanched with potholes!.
As I wait for the countdown to approach near.....the time is 11.31 pm. The sky started to fill with decorative amount of colour produced by the fast approaching fireworks...Some just unable to hold on anymore and in split seconds they release the first burst of fire illuminating the sky above. Such act inspires other to ignite their firecracker ahead of the scheduled time. My hands and finger, already on the trigger to push the snap button, press on of the incoming volleys of spectacular work. Use A for Aperture, shutter speed 2'........here are the photos lads....
That's it. More pictures for the other places and time in the coming blog.....
